MEET BRIAN K. GRUBER
Brian K. Gruber, Esq. has been representing children
with special needs and their parents since 1997. A veteran of more
than 200 due process hearings and mediations, Mr. Gruber utilizes
multiple strategies to obtain the desired results for his clients,
including persuasive advocacy at the school level, and litigation only
when necessary.
Mr. Gruber graduated cum laude from the District of Columbia
School of Law, where he received both the West Publishing award for
highest grade point average and the Kahn award for clinical excellence.
Mr. Gruber has appeared before the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, the
United States District Courts for Maryland and the District of Columbia,
and the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. Mr. Gruber is a
member of the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Gruber is well known in professional and academic circles, and
has been a guest lecturer or featured panelist for many organizations,
including The George Washington University, Washington College of Law
(American University), David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC), the
University of Maryland, Galludet College, the Maryland Public Defender
service, DC Department of Human Services (now CFSA), Lorman Educational
Services (required continuing education class for public school special
educators and attorneys), CHADD, and WISER.
Mr. Gruber is married to a third-grade teacher and lives with his
wife, three children, and their dog in Montgomery County, Maryland.
